Subject: FAA Paperwork
Jon please forward this to the yak list.
Gentlemen,
Recently one of our members had a paperwork problem with the FAA regarding his airworthiness certificate and the operating limitations. The dates on these two documents didn't match, and therefor it was illegal to operate the aircraft. The paperwork had been sent by his FSDO four years ago, and this paperwork had been inspected over 30 times by the FAA at various air shows. Nonetheless this inspector caught it, along with another air show act and grounded the planes until the proper paperwork could be faxed in. Luckily for both teams the paperwork was forwarded on Friday, and we were able to fly our routines.
Please check to see that the dates on both the airworthiness and operation limitations are the same, if not contact your local FSDO to have this resolved.
Thanks,
Tim Williams
