I used high quality sheet metal screws placed about every 3" with a dab of RTV on the tip. Start out with #4x1/2" if the hole starts to open up and the screw losens move up to the next size. I have 150 hrs. on my original screw set without having to replace any of the originals. I wouldn't trust any method of fairing attachment than nut plates and/or sheet metal screws.
