Maurice,

The best place for these types of answers is on the www.vansairforce.net forum.

To answer your question:

<![if !supportLists]>1. <![endif]>Get the two halves to mate up. Just cleco them together for now.
<![if !supportLists]>2. <![endif]>Enlarge the wheel opening and carve them up so they fit over the wheel and gear leg.
<![if !supportLists]>3. <![endif]>Mark on the brackets were your screws are going to go with your Sharpe
<![if !supportLists]>4. <![endif]>Duck taped some wood blocks on top of the wheels to give them the proper height.
<![if !supportLists]>5. <![endif]>Get them lined up. (You may have to enlarge the wheel and gear leg holes.)
<![if !supportLists]>6. <![endif]>Drill through the wheel pants and brackets where your marks are.
<![if !supportLists]>7. <![endif]>Install platenutes as needed. (I think machine screws will come out.)
<![if !supportLists]>8. <![endif]>Once you have them positioned correctly, enlarge the wheel opening. (Search the Vansairforce.net forum on this, there is a good reason to have the opening larger than you think is necessary.)
<![if !supportLists]>9. <![endif]>Add plate nuts to the wheel pants to attach the front half.

FYI – This is all detailed on the Orndorff videos. (Well done George.) I suggest you see if you can pick up a copy.

I can’t help you as my -9 is a tail dragger.

Bill (Who needs to re-make his upper intersection fairings as the RV-7 fairings didn’t work so well and no one makes them for a -9.)

Screws and tinnerman washers are often used. Sam used springs on the upper
ones (although his are made from AL):

Lots of options.

I used screws -- I had the rectangular gear. Same idea as our round gear.
