Hello Dan,
Both of the wing tanks valves leaked at the very beguining of flying my 701, my fault, probably I was not very carefull in cleaning (flushing) enough the fuel system. when I checked them I found very little debris. We had to change also the lexan from the doors (fuel stained and cracked them).
I cleaned the valves well, and installed them.
We remove and carefully inspect all the QFD's o rings (wings and gascolator) every 100 hrs (or yearly), not a big deal... 240 hrs later (drained about 8 times a month) no more leaks. Probably I am lucky. I have always some extra o rings (Viton type) as spares in my small airplane tool (plastic) box, never had to use them yet.
Saludos

I have had two of the Push-Type Quick Fuel Drains start leaking on me. They
will start to slowly drip and at first can be fixed by just snapping the valve
open and closed. However, this only lasts a short time and then they drip
again. On removal of the drain, I have found that the little "O" ring
has worn down and does not fit tight. Is there a better drain valve type out
there? I really don't want to have to change these valves every year.
