Hi,
I would like to know if anyone has a recommendation for a cockpit mounted gauge to show pressure in air-start system (besides the common gauges used in Yak 50s and 52s). I am in the process of installing a compressor and don't want to spend the money on the standard gauge since I don't have a reserve tank and am just interested in the main tank pressure.

Hi Anthony,
I fitted a US gauge into my cockpit. The guage was from McMaster-Carr,
P/N 384K107 (2% mid-scale accuracy 2" dial, 1/4" NPT Panel mount back
0-1000 PSI). It will require a line from a T into the air system (mine
is on the outlet side of the bottle), and a fabricated mounting flange
(mine is mounted to the floor on the left of the cockpit just forward of
the seat pan edge. Contact me off-list if you would like to see photos.
I think the gauge cost about $15.00 with shipping and all.
