Stuff Stolen,

As yawl know I'm out flying the B-24 this month. Every once in a while I hear bad stuff. While here in Redding, Ca. I heard and talked to the fellow (Mark Legarra) that lost a good amount of very valuable engine parts. Though this has to do "Big Iron" engines, some of us might just run into this stuff.

Last September someone broke into storage vans and stolen the following.

13 Allison gear reduction units (F model)
1 Allison gear reduction unit (G model)
3 Allison supercharger sections complete
2 cases (new in box) Allison exhaust valves
1 Merlin main cads with main caps
1 box Merlin main bearings, cam gears, ETC.
40 Merlin magnetos (Rotax)

As you can tell this stuff is expensive and represents a considerable amount of this guy's living. If you hear or see anything pertaining to this call

Mark Legarra 530-221-5468. It's case #08-72959.

There is a $20,000. reward.

It a small world out there. A lot of us know people who work on these engines. The ones we know, may not be the bad guys, but they may suddenly come up with some cheap parts that are just not normally available. Questions should be asked. The person who did this was very specific about what they stole. Please keep your eyes open and ask questions and pass this on.
