I was wondering if someone can give me some insight as to how the folding wings option works mechanically and for those of you that have them, whether you like them. I gather from the Zenith website that the trailing edge rotates up, then the wing rotates inboard.
I want to be able to put the 701 in a trailer for towing.

I’ve attached a picture that Martin Picard sent out of his 701. It was built at Quality Sport Planes in Cloverdale, CA and then shipped overseas (NZ or Oz but I can’t remember which). At the time I think he commented that he would never use the folding option again. From what I read the consensus of those who have dealt with the folding wing option is that it is not something you want to deal with on a regular basis.
