Hi All,
Yesterday I flew over to Halfpenny Green (ex Wolverhampton
International !!!) I'm glad to say that the airfield is back to being
nice and friendly again. Talking to the chaps in the tower they said
that they will soon be supplying Mogas. Now I was wondering are there
any other airfields in th UK that supply Mogas. It would be useful to
have a list of said airfields. I now there's talk of Avgas being phased
out and replaced by lead free fuel, but when, if ever!!!
Cheers Danny G-c.e.r.i

Perfect timing to start this thread!
My wife and I are planning to tour around the UK and Scotland with G-BWON this summer, for which I just started planning.
Our plan is to split the route into 4 legs, then spending a couple of days at each final destination for the leg.
The route is not final, but roughly like this:
Day 1: EHHO (Hoogeveen) to EGTE (Exeter)
Day 2: EGTE to EGForsa (Glennforsa on Isle of Mull in Scotland)
Day 3: EGForsa to EGBK (Northhampton Sywell)
Day 4: EGBK to EHHO (back home)
Destinations and fuel stops are not yet firm, and open to any suggestion.
My questions are:
- do these fields have Mogas on pump?
- any fields about halfway these legs carrying Mogas?
- any suggestions for scenery routes?
- also important due to lack of other means of transportation: good and cheap accomodations on these airfields/airfields roughly in the same areas?
All advise and any suggestion is highly welcome and appreciated!
Marcel
