Drilling the aft spar is a bit of a challenge if you do not want to mess up the hole having it out of round or too large as Vans admonishes you NOT to have happen. To prevent this happening on these 2 important holes, drill the hole to very slightly under size and purchase or borrow a 3/8" reamer and ream the hole to its final diameter with cutting oil. You will get a nice smooth bore and a desired tight fit on the #AN-6 bolts.



The flap bushings can be installed using a hand squeezer and brought to center with a bolt and over sized washers.
