Thinking about it...KFRM-KMYJ is just about the longest leg I would plan,
but it's certainly doable.

an E-LSA or just an S-LSA?

I can sign a student off for sport pilot in anything he's eligible to fly.
The endorsements are for the poilt in a specific make and model of aircraft,
not by category or class. A solo endorsement for a Zodiac 601XL would count
for anything that can be called one. I'd issue a second endorsement for the
Sabrina Mark 1, just to make sure the bases are covered.
Looks like it's okkay: the rules about pre-solo training require that the
training be given in the make and model *or a similar make and model* of
aircraft in which the solo flight is to be flown. Assuming your airplane has
the same flight characteristics as a stock 601XL, this should be okkay.

Well, you should know how to do the basics by now.

Jay,
A reserve amount of $10,200?! Does that mean that if this, and only this, is met, you will sell it for that figure?

Look again..the listing shows that the reserve has not yet been met, but not
what the reserve actually *is*. It's quite a bit higher than $10K, but less
than the $133K I paid for the airplane a year ago, much less the $147K you'd
pay AMD to get the same plane now.

Jay,
Will you still instruct light sport after you sold you 601XL?

Well, I'll certainly be available, and hadn't planned to instruct in my
Zodiac anyway due to the insane cost of insurance, so that's not changing
any. I don't expect to instruct much, however; there's not a lot of demand
for CFIs in general around my area.
