I really enjoy the newsletter and last month was about test flying your plane. I was hoping that Buz or maybe Nick will do something on how to correct certain trim problems that could come up on the first few flights.

Tex,
Sorry to take so long to answer, but was in Pennsylvania last week for the annual Cub fly-in at Lock Haven. If you could be a little more specific, we will see what we can do. I can only guess that you might be referring to pitch, roll or yaw trim problems, but each specific situation and the severity might call for a different solution. Just slapping on a trim tab might fix the situation, but to my way of thinking, adding an obvious tab after the fact just tells me that the airplane was not build straight in the first place. There are some large trim tabs that look obvious and there are some subtle ones that aren't so obvious and don't stand out to the casual observer.

Hi Buz, I don't have any specific problem. I just thought that it would be neat to have a list of typical or common problems one might encounter with their airplane. Nothing is perfect out of the box. Tex
