I am going to re-send this message as the previous one sent earlier today has still not gone through. Hope the martonics list server is not broken.

Just to let everyone know, the July Lightning Newsletter is now posted on both the Lightning web site - http://flylightning.net/
and also at Jim Langley's web site -
http://www.jimslightning.com/html/newsletters.html
The lead article is about Mark Stauffer, the Production Manager and leader of the Builders Education and Assistance Program at Lightning. I am sure you will enjoy reading about Mark and how he got involved in aviation and his move to Tennessee. You will also enjoy seeing all the different "Hhats" that Mark has been seen wearing in the past. One in particular is a real jewel. Later in this issue you can also see the variety of other hats that Lightning owners seem to like.
Another great read in this issue is by Nick Otterback and is a very informative article on the certification requirements that the Special Light Sport Lightning went through to receive its SLSA approval. Of course, Pete Krotje once again has a great engine clinic article. Enjoy.
As always, I would certainly appreciate any and all feedback and suggestions. And based on past responses to that request, I am about as likely to get some as I am to win the lottery. Actually I do get some good suggestions from a dedicated few of you on a regular basis, but to really improve the product I would like to get a wider range of suggestions and feedback. Please!
I will be in Oshkosh in less than two and a half weeks and hope to see many of you there starting on 27 July (3 1/2 weeks). The Lightning booth will be in a new area this year that is nearer the main entrance. I have not heard when they scheduled Nick's Lightning forum, but I hope many of you are able to attend that as kind of a "show of force" in support of Nick's briefing and this fine aircraft. The best advertising is word of mouth and you as Lightning builders and pilots can help spread the word.
And on a final note, since Oshkosh runs through 2 August, you can expect the August Lightning Newsletter issue to be a few days late even thought I have already started working on it. I hope to include photos taken at the event, so I will not be able to get it out until I return home.
See you there,
Buz
