Hi all,

I've had many requests for "can I sign up to volunteer
for helping park RV-10's this year", and so I contacted
Jeff Point about it as he's in charge. I did get a reply
back yesterday, and there is a little more info included.
Here, I'll pass on what he said in his own words:
---
"Good to talk to you and hope all is well. I've been meaning to contact
you about this. I am not planning on using volunteer wing walkers this
year, at least not in the formalized way that we did last year. There
are a couple of reasons for this, but the biggest one is that, with the
moving around of things on the grounds. I've decided to move the RV-10s
this year. I will be getting a large chunk of what was the Red auto lot
for RV parking this year (the area just west of the Mustang Coral and
north of RV parking. I am planning to put the 10s in this area and see
if that works out any better.

There are a couple of benefits to the move- 1) this area is not fenced
like the area you were parking in, making it easier to get in/out. 2)
the layout of the area lends itself to parking long-wing airplanes
better. We will end up with many short rows (5-6 planes) instead of a
couple very long ones, making the wing walking job much easier.

.<snip>..

If there are a few people who want to hang around the RV-10 pen and help
out on the busy days (Sunday and Monday) that's great, but I don't think
we need to have a formal schedule like we did last year."
---

So there you have it. Now we know where we'll be parked. It sounds
like we won't be up so far near the flight line this time, but further
back. We'll see all you other RV-10's flying in at the show.
And, if you do plan to fly your RV-10 in, send me a note with the
N-number and dates you need parking and i'll add that to the list so
Jeff can plan accordingly.
