If anyone is using the Data Cable for the 496 -

 

I am wiring the 496 to talk to a D180 and to my Icom 210 and need some clarification.

 

1) Does it make any difference if I which Data In/Out Port I send to which device? IE, should port 1 be the Dynon and port 2 be the radio?

 2) The 496 install manual says that the brown/orange voice is for auto installs. Is this just "turn-by-turn" directions, or is it also the mono audio?

3) Is the only real way to get XM music into my intercom by using the patch cable from the front of the 496?
