There was talk a while ago about lithium batteries but I can't remember the conclusion.

  

 Is anyone using such a battery now and what is your experience.

  

 I am looking at a couple: one is 20AH and the other 8AH. The smaller one would be useful as a standby for the avionics etc. when in glider mode. It weighs 1.3 kg C including circuit

 board. The larger one weighs 3kg and should be fine as a replacement for the existing Odyssey in my case. They are expensive C but the weight saving is considerable.
