Hi all,,

Phillips is not easy to come by in Ottawa, Ontario. Aeroshell products are very easy.

I have about 9 litres of the phillips left, and was wondering if I'm doing any harm/commtting a sin if I add some Aeroshell w100. Or would you recommend I drain all the phillips before.

why not just buy it online from skygeek? I get it shipped in two, 2.5 gallon jugs for the same price I'd pay locally (and that includes shipping). plus it's delivered right to your door.

Thanks Steve. Here's the math on that:

(delivered to my zip)

oil store 17.79 per gallon in 4 one gallon jugs
skygeek 18.65 per gallon in 4 one gallon jugs
skygeek 17.69 per gallon in 2 two and a half gallon jugs

I like to buy the two and a half gallon jugs because that pretty much equals a complete oil change. Plus its easier to carry the old oil I remove.

One of these days I'll just get a 55 gallon drum and be done with it!

Semper Fi,

Keith

Oil-Store shipping is way cheaper than geeks for me (much shorter distance). That's the biggest difference in overall costs I guess.

55 gal drums are too much work and messy. And, besides they are are pain to load in a Yak's baggage space for a X-country. Razz [/list]

Thanks for that web site. I'll add it to my list. On another note I was up at KSFM the other day....won't be long.

Mike;

Sure enough there are additional import costs but there is no duty charged.
I suggest you talk to the Canadian Harvard Association, Canadian Warplane
Heritage or Vintage Wings of Canada (Mike Potter - Ottawa). I would expect
most, if not all are using Phillips 25W60. There must be an importer in
your area.

It is readily available in Western Canada and is used by most Beaver
operators.

Walt
