I am restoring a YAK in USA but am not a US national. I want to register it with FAA but cannot do so in my name under FAA Regs. Has anybody a suggestion how I can solve this at an reasonable price. I do have a Montana Company but FAA says the Company must have a majority of US citizen directors. Thanks.

Do have an American friend you REALLY REALLY REALLY trust???

Start a corporation in his name. Let the corporation own the airplane and designate you as its pilot. I do believe you'll need to have a US pilots license to fly it.

Better yet I'll give you the e-mail address of some brits that live on my airpark and who own aircraft there. JR(at)roja.myeti.net (JR(at)roja.myeti.net)

Roger and Jane Goodger kind give you better advice than I.
