I just read an article about a new contender to replace 100LL avgas. It's called UL94 and Teledyne Continental Motors is saying they will have all there engine ready to run on it by 2010. At first glance it looks like a good fuel for the 912. Dose anyone know anything about this new uncertified as yet fuel.

Rick

Its a trial balloon so to speak!
Actually, it is supposed to be 100LL without the lead.
Some, relatively current lycosauruses had been tested, but many
in the air have not yet.
I have no idea whether Rotax has access or interest in testing
at this point since the fuel will not be available for years.

There are lots of companies out there trying to cook up replacements
for leaded fuel.

I for one have been quite happy buzzing about behind my 912uls,
feeding it 98% mogas for the past five years

Cheers,
