All-



"Wired Magazine" visited Oshkosh and posted an online article on July 30th about the high-volume of traffic that the ATC handles during the show. Of all the hundreds of planes to choose from to put into their lead-in photo, guess what showed up?



I know some of you will recognize the plane - it's very distinctive...

Yup, that's "Stan the Man".......he's "been there, done that" in more  

places than most anybody with a Kitfox. : )  ....'ceptin' maybe John  

King?

If I'm not mistaken that is Stan Specht's plane from Colorado. I think he

calls his plane Columbine after the State flower.



I'm copying Stan with this msg and he will probably confirm whether it is

his machine.

It is Stan's plane.  I spent a while talking with him about it, getting ideas for the restoration of my Mangy-Fox that I have now.  (I got to have one of those cargo pods!) No better example to get ideas from and a very friendly, hospitable fellow in Stan, thank you.



You gotta love Oshkosh!!  51 weeks and counting....

 Nice picture of your Kitfox Speedster.

 RECOGNIZED IT RIGHTAWAY as we flew together for 3-1/2 weeks all the way to Barrow Alaska in 2002.

 It was also nice to see you personally at AirVenture 2009.
