I was concerned about edge distance on a rib flange as I was drilling through the nose ski on the (CH601-HD) centre wing.
Unable to see the flange without disassembling the work in progress, I thought about different possibilities.
I could reach the spot through the lightening holes and feel the area with my fingers, but that wasn't enough.
A digital photo would also not be precise enough to reassure me.

So I thought of using an old trick: to make an impression with play-doh.
But, nuts!, I was fresh out of play-doh.

So I resorted to ...bread!

Se attached photo. Thirteen mm between hole centre and flange edge.
Great tool, versatile, cheap, and you can eat it when the work is done.

Cheers
Carlos

..so that's what they meant when they said it takes a lot of bread to build
an airplane!
