Lynn, flying around with no goal is a sad scenario. I suggest you start
working on "weaponizing" the kitfox in case of a "Red Dawn" scenario, or in
case we are invaded by Canadians. A rocket launch rail would be one method.
I expected you to build floats for you bird by now, and when you do I want
your plans. I am considering the "Muktuk" floats for mine. Certainly can't
afford Lotus or other factory floats. Does anyone on here have plans or
drawings for Kitfox floats? I have a concept in mind for amphibian gear
(lower main wheels by a jackscrew powered by a small reversible 12 v. dc
motor) without the complexity of hydraulics.
Regarding Lexan for windscreen, I got mine from a local plastics supplier in
Dallas. 4 by 8 sheet was about $ 40, no shipping, and I think it is .60
thick.

As a Detroit Red Wings fan, I've always been nervous around the
Canadiens.....but now I am more worried (with good reason) about
attacks from the vicinity of Pittsburgh. To this end, I will equip my
Kitfox with anti-Penguin guns, and if that fails, I have buckets of
poisoned fish to feed them.
And speaking of goals......if only Detroit had had a few more......: )
