I'm looking at ammeters in the spruce catalog.  They don't give much information.

Are there any 2 1/4" aircraft ammeters that use a hall effect sensor?  I'm guessing they'd mention it if they did.

Probably not. The 2.25" devices are carry-overs from
the heyday of steam gages . . . hall effect sensors
are the adoptees of of digital/glass displays.

Hoever, there are 2.25" devices out there that
are driven by a shunt.
