As subject line says. Looking for the typical glide ratio for a Kitfox-IV
Speedster in tail dragger configuration. Same for the regular long-wing
model.
There are several places listing the 'IV specs, but not the glide ratio...
Thanks,
Roberto Waltman.

Hi
I measured for my Kitfox a glide ratio of 12, engine switched off, but
not MTOM.

<?xml:namespace prefix="v" /><?xml:namespace prefix="o" /><![endif]--> During Phase I, my KF4-1200 with short wings and the 912UL at idle would make about 1.5 miles per 1000 feet altitude loss.

Thanks for the information. I may be buying a Kitfox soon. There is a lot
of info about Kitfoxes on the web, I am trying to fill the blanks on a few
items that are not easy to find.
A few more questions:
. What type of engine do you have?
. What was the speed at that 12:1 ratio?

That's about 8:1 ...
At what speed?
Thanks,
R.W.

<?xml:namespace prefix="v" /><?xml:namespace prefix="o" /><![endif]--> With the short wings, about 65-70 mph.
