Any good suggestions on removing that gray structural adhesive from

otherwise bare aluminum?  I thought maybe someone had come up with a

good recipe for getting it off w/o damaging fragile parts.

If you're talking about the 3M 2216 a heat gun will soften it right up.

Heat gun and putty knife or a dremel and flapper wheel.  Those are the 2 weapons I used to remove the structural adhesive on my project.
