Looking for recommendation on someone who can balance prop. Live in N.Calif. Spoke with American Prop in Redding and he didn't have a clue how to do it. Recently replaced V530 blades and getting a bit more vibration than before, also getting a harmonic of about 2-3 second interval, thanks,Bill.

There's a shop in San Jose that does Yak and CJ6 dynamic balancing.

Jim Selby in Marina has the name and phone number. (I have it in a file
at home!).

Dynamic Balance is really only effective after static balance and blade tracking have been tweeked. I use a lab scale accurate to 1/10 of a gram for the blades and a laser level to set the angle and tracking. If you can get under .15 IPS, leave it alone. Flat engines are often adjusted to under .10 IPS but I found it tricky with the M-14P and paddle blade prop.

If you need help in setting up your prop and balancing it, I will be glad to
work with you. I am located at (KRHV) Reid-Hillview airport in San Jose.
Here we service many Yak's in the form of maintenance, inspections,
modifications as well as prop balancing.

All of the Yaks I service, the propeller vibration level is below .07 IPS

If you need anything give me a call, The cell is the best way to contact
me.

Thanks

Got the prop balanced today at Kregg Victory's place. Well worth the travel. What a difference, really noticeable during throttle advancement for takeoff. Great job Kregg!
