MT assume that people who buy these props are using them for aerobatics, so they have the fine-pitch stop to allow the propeller to go very fine when the throttle is pulled back.

This causes a lot of drag, but it is deliberate.

If people do not like it, it is very easy to adjust the stop to reduce the drag!

RIchard,

We have found the prop drag useful on approach too. The model 12 can have the throttle fully closed on downwind before turning base and use the prop to control the glide path/decent rate until in the flair when it is pushed full flat and really slow the airplane for touchdown. Very cool feature.
