Yes, Blue Mountain is gone the way of the dodo bird. You can try posting your question on the VAF forum, if you don’t get an answer here. www.vansairforce.net
As for whom to contact, try Dynon, GRT, or anyone else. Dynon is offering a discount for Blue Mountain victims. Errrr, I mean customers.

Did you go through the calibration procedure, creating the table of values that need to be entered into the instrument? This is in the manual... Having pitot/static test equipment hooked up would help a lot.. But your best bet is to cut the losses and get rid of that thing

I would call Stein at www.Steinair.com. He has installed many of their units and will know what to do. However, in the long run I would second Bill and Rad’s suggestion…

Thank you for your response. In our manual the only paragraph in reference to the ASI and Altitude tabs is in page 39 of 49 and it's state that the EFIS is calibrated at the factory and there is no need to adjust. For IFR certification biannual ,have the avionics technician contact blue mountain avionics for proper procedures.
Do you have the calibration procedures for the altimeter in your manual???
If so could I get a copy??
we are stuck since BMA ???!!!!do not responde to any e mail or telephone call.
Also we will call Stein.
Thank you for you guys help.

No, I don’t have a manual as I don’t own anything BMA.. I just helped somebody else with that once.. Anyways, the procedure is same as everything else.. it’s just a table of “Raw” and “Display” values.. The Raw value will show right there.. so if you’re just sitting on the ground, you can enter the current raw value, and in Display, you’d enter actual value you want altimeter to show – I believe this is all “at 29.92” so keep that in mind.
But as I mentioned, I don’t think you can really derive any other values unless you have a pitot/static test equipment so you can generate other altitudes (that are “known”). Yes, you shouldn’t need to do that as it should have been all done at factory.. but it’s BMA… This is all assuming that the sensor itself is actually not broken somehow..
At minimum, you should check the calibration table.. see if there are any values entered… adjust as necessary and observe changes in behavior… (I’d even suggest writing down all the current values right now as backup.. then you can play with it and change values until you get it working right)
Try BMA Discussion Forums.. I think those are still active.. and you may get more help from others that are in similar situation…
Good luck.

We will try that. And we do have access to a pitot/static test instrument.
Thank you very much
