I am working on a project to install STOL fences on both ends of my 801

wings.  Bob Jones of Big Lake Alaska installed some fences to reduce the oil

canning but he said they added stability.  



I was wondering if anyone has experimented with STOL fences or winglets on a

701 or 801?

I know of a guy and see the plane on a regular basis. he rebuilt the plane from a wreck. and was approved with the stol flaps off. he then installed fences at the mounting points and continued up over the wing tapering down from about 2" high. his opinion flags off improved flight stability and fences were better still. there is less lift but plane is more stable in higher winds. he also lands more conventionally with higher speed (60mph). messing with the design may be an issue with advanced certification?
