Hi all C well after almost 11 months of rebuilding and recovering C my Avid Flyer MK IV flew again today. Plane flew fine after I got used to it C it's about 150 lbs heavier than my Avid B and so it took a bit longer to get up off my short muddy slushy snow covered strip. Cleared the trees at the end with no problem C so I guess that's all the really matters. It's not as nimble at the B either C but there again the weight is what makes the difference. Flew for almost 1 1/2 hr with one landing. All temps were in the green and the Jabiru purred like a kitten. Now that I got this plane back in the air C I can get back to work on the unfinished Kitfox 4 kit I have sitting in the garage. That one will have a 912 on it C so I'll be able to compare the Jabiru to the Rotax with first hand experience once it is done and flying. Didn't get any pictures today C I tried to C but when I pushed the shutter button C the camera closed up and shut down from low batteries. Bummer! Oh well C this is a picture I took a few weeks ago C only difference from now is it's kind of muddy and has a Warp Drive prop on it. Not sure what I think of the prop yet compared to the Tennassee C but it sure is smooth and I can have what ever static RPM I want. Take care all C Jim Chuk Avids C Kitfox 4 Mn Windows 7: I wanted simpler C now it's simpler. I'm a rock star.
