This may have as much to do with lateral dimensions as vertical and also the
size of a tall pilot's inseam. If you have a long butt to scalp dimension,
the Kolbra in London that I sat in was tight. Certainly couldn't fly it with
a helmet on and for me that is a must.
Much more comfortable in the MIIIX. But again, Canopy bows are builder
defined. If I were to build a Kolbra I would want doors on both sides and I
would fashion a canopy with the same curve as an AH-1, early model Cobra.
The canopy stays horizontal til almost the nose and then it curves rapidly
down. You would lose the Kolbra profile to some extent but it would
certainly look unique.
