Does anyone have a suggestion on where to put the 2” EXPERIMENTAL placard on the Kolb Mark III classic I do not want to put them on the fabric? I am thinking about putting them on the outside of the cabin doors at the bottom.

I put mine on the Bottom of the gap seal, where it is visible to both pilot & pasenger by looking up, (at the bottom of the seal while it is in place). My DAR had no problem with it there, though I waited to install it when he came to inspect it.

Russ, It has to be where the passenger can see it while entering the aircraft. The bottom of the doors works well. It's out of sight when flying and looks cool sitting on the tarmac, IMHO.

Russ/Gang:

The experiemental placard is to be placed where the passenger can easily see it as he enters the aircraft.

If the passenger enters the aircraft from the tail boom, that would be a good place to put it. Wink

 Kolb guys C

I'll be needing to install my "experimental" signs on my MkIII soon(ish) C and I haven't checked the regs C but is the location only for the benefit of the passenger C and not the public walking by?

In other words C can the placement just be inside the cabin (in sight of the passenger) C with no need to have one outside?

Thanks

I don't remember the exact wording, but it has to be plainly visible to anyone that is getting into the airplane. I put mine on the top of the lift struts. Very noticeable to anyone entering the plane but not so noticeable in flight. You would have to be higher and in front of the plane to see it. You can just barely see it on the left side strut.

Steve,
I put mine up the wing struts on the upper side.
You hardly notice them except when you are getting in and out.
