Hi all C did anyone else see this plane on ebay C  Supposed to be a Kitfox 2.  What do you think.  I couldn't resist and sent a few questions to him.   Item # is   290368872471

Could report is as fraud I suppose.  There is a category for "misleading title" under the policy violations drop-down.

I just did a quick N# search and it is a Terral Olen C T-2.  Pics of it are in the data base.  I sent the seller a nice little question...



There is NOTHING Kitfox about that plane.  Looks more like a modded volks plane or a himax.

I built and fly a Kitfox II C don't know what kind of unit that is but it sure isn't a Kitfox II. Some one is going to get hosed if they buy thinking its a Kitfox. The ID plate looks like something a kid made.

The FAA reports the N number as "ATTENTION! This aircraft's registration

status may not be suitable for operation" and then at

that the number is also assigned to a Cessna 185. 



The aircraft model is registered as "T-2" and no mention of Kitfox. I

reported it as possibly fraudulant on eBay, let's see what they do about

it...

It's a "T-2" what ever that is, according to the FAA registration.

FAA also states that the registration status is "in Question", meaning all of the paperwork is not in order.

your reply to my question on ebay.



This is not a kitfox.  It does not have flaperons, the tail group, the fuselage or any other thing related to kitfox.



I provided the registration info that the FAA has in the data base and nothing states it is a kitfox.



The yellow and white plane is a kitfox II, the yellow and blue is a kitfox III



They look nothing like you plane.  The pictures on ebay show a wooden fuselage, the kitfox is tube and fabric.

There is no reference to it being a Kitfox at all. The aircraft pictured in your

advertisment on eBay is not a Kitfox.



Would you mind providing some background information on the aircraft? Are you the

current owner? It would appear that the aircraft is not registered at all. Would you

explain the status? A little history of the aircraft would be nice starting with the

builder who looks to be Olen C. Terral.

  Since you are "mearly a novice at this hobby", maybe you should "watch

your mouth" and listen to those who obviously know much much more than you

do.  What you have pictured on ebay is in no way a Kitfox, no matter what

you say your paperwork says.  Maybe you got hosed when you bought it, but

please don't try to pass that thing off as a Kitfox.

One of the guys on the Yahoo avid group figured it out.  This is a Fisher FP 606.



Steve, open your eyes, do a google search for FP 606, then relist your add.  There is noting even close between the two aircraft other than the fact that they both fly...

I have just one question, Steve.  Now that you know that the airplane you 

are selling is not a Kifox, why would you continue to run it on Ebay trying 

to pass it off as something it's clearly not?  Instead you act with 

aggression toward those who point it out to you.   In my very humble opinion 

if you are an honorable person you would either remove the ad or change it 

so that someone doesn't end up buying something they later find out is 

bogus.

I have taken the time to report the item to  Ebay customer support  

team, reporting the item as fraudulent.  Their reply says they will  

investigate within 72hours.  Interesting to note that the listing  

matures in 3 days 1 hr.

Hopefully they will remove the item in time.

I sent the guy another reply on ebay, and he has now updated the listing under the questions.  He talked to J. Mc Bean (I guess cause we are all so stupid) and he now knows it is not a KF II.  He stated that it is now believed to be, or "emulates" the Fisher FP 606.



Wonder where the bidding will go now... I would hope that guys bidding on it would have known it was not a KF of any type.

The specs are completely different between these planes.  950lbs gross weight listed vs 500lbs actual is pretty serious.  Guess the winner's widow won't have any problem taking all of Steve's money.

I have posted an update on the ad.  I can't change the listing info once a bid has been placed.  Therefore, all I can do is update the listing with information, as I have done.  The title is not able to be changed either.  I have done my best to advise the bidders of the correct information.  I am not sure of the kits origin, nor spec's of the kit.  I would like to post the specs of the fisher 606, but am hesitant, as this may not be the plane.  



To cancel the listing would cost me over $50.00 in listing fee's.  



The faa paper does show kitfox t-2 on it.  I believe t-2, may signify the builders last name, "t" and "2" for the second aircraft built by him.  Again, not sure.  Kitfox may have been a nickname applied by the builder.
