For those of you who have iPhones, I just realized that the App SkyCharts, which has been out for quite a while ($9.99) now lets you cache all IFR data for each Sectional that you cache. Every 28 days you will have to recache the new data, but it's a great way to have a copy (or an extra copy) of all the approach plates for your route.
For those who use EFB's (probably opening up a huge can of worms here), what constitutes a legal electronic representation of an approach plate?

I have been using that app for a little while and love it.
Tim mentioned that they are going to start charging a yearly fee in the future. Until then, it is great.
When they first launched it had quite a few bugs, especially when uploading data. Now all is great.
It actually is a perfectly legal system to use for flying approaches. Not that you wouldn't want a backup print copy with you.
I can't remember the exact FAR terminology (I'm sure someone will have it), you have to make sure it does not interfere with any of your aircraft systems.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that it's great, especially with the recent bug fixes. I'd even be happy paying some reasonable yearly fee for the peace of mind it gives me of having all current charts with me. I usually print plates for my destination and alternate, but it's nice having everything in the area.
In "airplane mode" I don't think it's doing any transmitting of anything, so it shouldn't interfere with the aircraft systems.
