Maybe find a piece close to that size in Van's parts list? Last time I ordered aluminum for a panel blank, Van's beat the others on price and shipping because they had a standard piece close to the sizes I required.. may have changed in 2 years.

Burt, I know waiting is not something pilots can do well but, Sun-n-Fun has vendors that sell that and bigger for less than everyone else if your going down there. If not any alum supplier locally will do.

There are probably some local sheet metal wholesalers in your area. Call around and ask for .032 T2024 sheet.
Try this for Orlando area sheet metal resources: http://bit.ly/7fSVb4

thaks Larry:
The only thing as I said, they sell only big cheets 12"/42", Every time I buy this, then waste of aluminum. I have several pieces now
12"X4" if any one wants them,,,, these are the left overs,,, that is why I would like to find a place that sells exactly
the piece at least 1`2" X 36" only..

A 48" x 96" sheet could easily be sheared to 10 pieces 9" x 48". Wouldn't that be cheaper?
If you could get someone with a shear 96"+ long, you could have the sheet cut long ways first. Then you would get 12 pieces, with almost no waste.
