Can anyone tell me where to look or who to call to find the nearest repairman class?

EAA would be good place to start.
I'm taking the 16 hour E-LSA class this coming January 29-31, in Oshkosh, WI.

I got my repairman's certificate through the EAA's Sportair program - they
have classes all around the country. Here is the link and the schedule of
upcoming classes:
http://www.sportair.com/
http://www.sportair.com/schedule.html
Be aware that these classes are *only* for the owner of an airplane that
has, or will have, and ELSA Airworthiness Certificate. If you are the
builder of an EAB airplane you don't need to take this course to get your
Repairman's Certificate, just apply for it through your DAR when getting
your airworthiness inspection - he must sign off that you are "knowledgable"
enough to do your own inspections. If you are not the builder of an EAB, or
the owner of an ELSA, you cannot get a Repairman's Certificate (unless of
course you are a full A&P, but then you don't need one!)
