Many people JUST inspect the airframe for damage after a strike. Not a
good idea.
Some strikes magnetize the engine components (crankshaft, bearings, etc.)
causing metal in the oil to stick.
Engines can be demagnetized (after disassembly), inspected, and
reassembled. This is covered by insurance and should not be overlooked
after a strike.
