I ordered my spinner and hub from Zenith as part of the FWF package. It is a 9" UHS for the 3 bladed warp drive.

The fiberglass back of the spinner only has seven holes in it. One in the center and then six towards the edge that match the holes used to secure the hub to the prop flange on the engine..

The Zenith construction manual shows a different spinner than they sent me, one where bolt heads appear to sit recessed into the hub.

So it looks like there are two ways I could secure the spinner:
  1. Remove the prop from the flange, then feed the hub bolts through the spinner's back into the hub.
  2. Get six more bolts and drill six holes that match the inner ring of holes on the hub, then drill out the out ring on the spinner.
The first choice worries me since the fiberglass would be crushed at the torque values required for the hub bolts.
The second choice seems like a good way to get the spinner off center.

Has anyone done this before?

Thanks,
John Marzulli

John.

Yes, the spinner backing plate goes between the prop and the engine flange. If the flange holes don't line up with the spinner backing plate they sent you the wrong spinner.
