I live in Georgia and I too fly my Kitfox every chance I get. The temperature as you know have been running in the 20s and 30s the last couple of weeks.
I have a Speedster with a 912. During the winter, I duct tap the front side of the oil cooler completely and run duct tape on the coolant radiator. My oil temperature
maintains around 200F and coolant around 180F during the winter. I keep an inside/outside thermometer in the cabin and with the single fan running, I'm able to keep the cabin
temperature about 15 degrees warmer than outside temperature. I have the average cabin air leakage but no cold blowing air coming in. I probably could do better sealing
the air. Leather jacket, gloves, hat and headset seem to keep me warm enough.
Since you're in Florida, I would recommend flying without sandals during the winter!
