We have both electric and manual oil shut off valves available and have had for years. 

 

 They are the safest and easiest way to help prevent hyd lock for radial engines.  Anyone without one is taking a huge chance.  The valve simply won't let the oil in the oil tank gravity feed down into the engine.  This does not mean you can forgot the prop pull through but in over six years I have never once had oil in the cylinders after installing the valve.
