Thanks Larry!
I have been iterating on the designs a bit and "tried them on":

John,
I like your first iteration as it's something I've not seen before. Going forward, I'd suggest the paint be one that can be easily touched up. The colors, if in a urethane
hard finish, be a compatible type of paint that offers a matching color. The hardest colors to match are seldom found in small spray bottles. If not a urethane,
a acrylic enamel per Bingilis book recommendations. I picked an off pale yellow which has been hard to match with a compatible touch-up and the original process
was a very intensive operation I'd not like to repeat. Just a thought.

There are two ideas that I have been iterating on. The first is the one that I want to make work, but have been having problems getting to look "right": http://marzulliphoto.net/photos/771236046_Vk8F4-L.jpg
It is based on Costal Salish art. The goal was to make a highly visible aircraft that would stand out against the water, trees and mountains of the area while using traditional NW Indian colors.
The concept is very appealing to me, but I am really having a hard time getting it tied together.
The other design a "backup" based on D-Day invasion stripes and a shark's mouth: http://marzulliphoto.net/photos/765696683_m7jdv-M.jpg
If anyone has some knowledge of graphic design or Costal Salish art, please contact me. If you have any ideas on how to make the design better, please share them.

Many thanks in advance!

98% done, only 192% more to go. Moving it to the airport in March!
