Been lurking the forum/list for some time and been getting to know the So. Cal group and GIBing for about 8 months and am now the proud owner of formerly Bob Watt's 1966 CJ-6A.



I'm a Red Star member and looking forward to joining the community. Thanks to Barry Hancock (who first introduced me to the planes and local guys), Craig Ekberg (tons of advice and GIB time), Hal Provo (resident mechanical guru), Bob and Caroline Watts (who gave me 8 hours of patient and thorough ground instruction and nearly 13 hours of dual instruction) and many other people who have shown me hospitality and helped me learn and get to know what I was getting in to. 



Bob and I just completed the delivery flight from Oklahoma to California so now I'm ready to be the new custodian of this fine plane.

I'd love to talk with you offline.  I've just purchased a CJ and will be based up near Vandenberg AFB.  I'd appreciate discussing your training and how you went about it.

Welcome to the community!  There is not a better, more fun, active, and professional community in all of GA.  



We provide insurance approved transition training that follows the RPA recommended syllabus.  You'll get ground school and flight training until you are proficient.  If you're interested, please contact me off list for references and details.
