Snip:
In support of our commitment to the continued growth and success of the
XM WX aviation service, as of March 22, 2010, the XM WX Aviator LT and
the XM WX Aviator packages will increase by $5 per month, effective upon
your next renewal.
I am going to try and renew before the cut-off date to see if I can save
a few $.

Sheesh, it was over priced in the first place IMHO. ADS-B data linked weather can't happen fast enough. Seems a bit odd that they would increase their price rather than decrease it when facing all of the potential alternatives. Then again, maybe they are just trying to squeeze every last drop from subscribers before phone apps and ADS-B kill their share.

Since the XM-Sirius merger, they have no competition within satellite radio. They raised all their music rates, too. Of course they hid it - "rates" stayed the same but now there are "fees" which need to be paid, too.

Both XM and Sirius (now one big company) are hemorrhaging money
at a huge rate. Doesn't surprise me that the rates are going up...
what surprises me is that they're still in business and running
as 2 separate companies.
