I've seen this thing!  John Pike has a Stearman Restoration business out in the Carver area.  He had visions of using this engine on some sorta "really fast" water craft.  If you get a chance to visit what he does, it's well worth it.  Heckofa nice guy, too.  I purchased some Spruce from him for a project we're in the middle of.

What kind prop are you going to try to hang on that thing? The FWF kit
should be interesting to handle the extra 7500 lbs up front, not to
mention the heat in the tunnel issue. Better get the Nye double fuel
tanks option as well. Maybe you can mount a couple wing tip drop
tanks. I'm sure Ken K will be happy to work out the flutter and
harmonics issues for exceeding the recommended 260 hp. ;-p
