Primers are used on 912's. I have one on mine and the starting carbs(choke) are wired in the off position. I bought the plane this way from a guy in Mass. I had thought about reactivating the choke system (in fact I bought the cables,etc) because I certainly wouldn't need the primer here in Florida...Right? However, the system works so well for start, I decided to keep it. The only disadvantage I can see is not having the choke available to troubleshoot possible carburetor problems.
