You guys are really making us "Red Star proud" with shots like that; the best dissimilar aircraft photo shot I believe I have ever seen. Send more, maybe with a Typhoon in there!!

This is VERY COOL! I wonder if we could get some of our USAF guys to do that! You think? Of course we'd have to get him a FAST check out first. Smile

Too funny...I can tell you a tail that involves one of my exsquadron mates.
Now Retired...working for a name air line...notices the airdrome is quiet
the mid afternoon as he was pulling his RV out of the hanger...usually a
busy airport was quit...what a day to go flying...climbing through 3000 ft
notices a F-15 bearing in 180 out...hum we can make this a single circle
fight as the Eagle closes for the ID pass... with a break to the left
passing the 3-9 line...fights on...fights on...turning tightly inside the
Eagle with a bid for angles...pitching up into a oblique scissor...with a
guns call coming...well almost until the Eagle lit the blower and converted
P.E to K.E. (potential energy to kenetic energy) coming over the top with
his beak on... at this point the clue light came on... "although it has been
a long time since I've been 1 V 1 with an Eagle... with that last close
pass this guy is loaded 4 X 4 and is looking real serious as he G's the
Aluminum eclipse up...like he wants shot me"... when was G W supposed to be
in town?... little did he know, his old Sqd CC then Wing CC...now Northcom
Major General was holding his future in his next transmission to the Eagle
driver who was now within guns parameters... his N number saved his
ass...the Northcom CC called a knock it off and my intrepid squadron mate
acknowledged the radio calls landing to a greeting from the guys in black
SUV's and black suits...or So the saga goes...
He is still flying for the major airline after getting a strong talking to
about checking NOTAM's and TRF's before aviating...he also got a call from
his old CC too...
Yep, my squadron mate admits he commited on big act of Buffonery but he
still says that was one of the greatest sights for him to see...the big gray
aluminum aircraft carrier slipping across his windscreen as he gets a great
snap shoot on the Aluminum eclipe...
No he does not blow off the TFR check any longer....... WE still laugh at
him at each squadron reunion though!
Doc
