I enjoy so much the things I can learn from the posts on the list. Thank you all so much. The lessons are invaluable.
I do wonder, at times, why some feel it necessary to use vulgar language. IMHO most, or all Kolbers have to be pretty intelligent... people who love airplanes and most... build their own. What an elite group.

They seem to claim the opposite of what you experienced. They say quieter and better
performance.

This reply is off-list=2C because I don't want to get into a pissing match
on the Kolb list about who make's the best propeller!!
As you may know=2C I have the GEO engine on my MkIII. A member of the li
st=2C a guy named Vassili=2C sells Koolprops=2C and absolutely swears by th
em!! I have NO experience with the Koolprop=2C except from what his custo
mer's say.
Evidently the Kiev and the Kool props are practically identical=2C except
the Kool uses carbon fiber and fiberglass=2C whereas the Kiev uses just fi
berglass. Even the prop hub is interchangeable between the Kiev and the Ko
ol.
Like I said=2C I can't vouch for how good a prop the Kool is=2C but from
what I read=2C it seems to be very well built and performs excellently.

List=2C
There I go again!! That last email was supposed to be off-list to Tony!!
Sorry.
Since I have very little experience with light plane propellers=2C I didn
't want to get into an argument with anyone who about who makes the best pr
op!!! I didn't want to have to defend something I don't have much experien
ce with!! I was simply passing along to Tony what I had read.
The Kiev and the Kool are practically the same props=2C from what I see.
So=2C don't kill the messenger. I'm not an expert on props=2C so don't f
eel you have to defend your propeller choice!!

I also tried to capture the rapture of having five Kolbs on the same ramp at Arcadia
this Saturday.
I'll now attempt to attach the slideshow from Photobucket.com.
It was great meeting the elder statesmen of the Kolb club. I also appreciate their
discretion in the matter of my landing...
I hope to get acquainted with other members of our community at Sun & Fun.

I did a stupid thing today and now I need a new blade for my IVO ground
adjustable prop, or a new three blade 60" three blade adjustable prop.
Don't ask what I did as I am too embarrassed to tell the story. Pete

This is one of about five pixs I took this morning when I took our dog
out at 7:30 am. They were perfect Z's when I first saw them, this was
taken about five min. later when I finally got my camera.
Haven't seen any posts since 9:24 this morning thats why I posted this.
