Had lunch today with a friend who is a gasoline distributor in
Texas. Learned that the ethanol is pumped into the gasoline trucks at the
"rack" before the trucks leave the distributor. He said someone who knows a
distributor should be able to buy non ethanol gas in 55 gal. drums or other
large containers. Ethanol is mixed only by turbulence of pumping and motion
of the truck. Pipeline operators will not handle ethanol--to corrosive.

Pipeline operators also separate shipments with salt water... Ethanol
dissolves into salt water. They would have to find another liquid separator
that would not mix with gas, oil and ethanol.
