Richard- I really like the idea of the "X" hinge arrangement. Simple, and spreads the stress. It should probably be adopted as a standard method of attaching them. When the weather breaks, I think I'll take a hard look at mine. Thanks.

I agree! For quite awhile I've suspected loose fitting hinges as a starting point for
aileron flutter.

Hi All,

Ideas like the X bracing of the aileron hinges are some of the reasons I think the Kolb-List is the best thing to come along since sliced bread and caned beans.
