Hi Gang,

We've been over in the Bahamas now for 6 weeks and just when you think it can't get any better than this.... a couple of CJ-6's make a beautiful low pass the yacht! Don't know who you guys were but if you're on the list, well done! Saw you again today (16th Friday) heading back north to Nassau.

I haven't taken my Yak 52 over to Bahamas. Does anyone on the list has any info regarding bringing a experimental exhibition plane into Bahamas? Any special requirements into the islands or different requirements coming back into the USA other than the usual flight plan, Homeland security code, etc? All the best for now.

Don

Hey Don,

That was Craig Ekberg and myself. I’m guessing your were near Staniel Cay. We go out to the out islands each year right before sun and fun. Normally, we have a bunch more with us, but Craig and I were the only two CJs this year. And the flying is some of the most breath taking you’ll ever have. The colors in the shallow waters are amazing. This year, it was Cat Island at Fernandez Bay, New Bight, North Eluthera, Harbour Island and finally Staniel Cay.

As you say, it’s better in the Bahamas!

All is good to take these birds over there, they love having us. Feel free to get in touch for more info on how to get out there. Fuel is a bit tricky, but if you plan for it, it’s really no problem….

Enjoy the Bahamas!
