I've been trying to think of something momentous to say, but my thoughts are just overwhelmed with, "THE DAMNED THING ACTUALLY FLIES" !!!

For those that keep the records, N620EB, owned and piloted by Wes Bean took off twice and landed twice for the first time today here in Greenville, SC. Very nice. On first climb out, the oil pressure alarm went off, so he did a quick turn around and landed. Warmed it up some more, and second flight stayed in the green the whole 50 min. Standard big grin! One EGT sensor seems to have stopped working, otherwise all is good.

I'll see if I can edit the movies and figure out how to post on YouTube or something.

Congrats Lew and Wes! Couldn't have picked a better day here in the
Carolinas for the flight.

A hearty congratulations. It is a biggg accomplishment and a real life milestone. As we move closer to the 300 number of 10's flying our owners are getting a bit more nonchalant about new additions. Not I. Be safe and enjoy the next 25-40 hrs. Don't rush the phase one - pull the cowl and covers frequently and be careful. Hope that we see you at OSH.
Enjoy those greaser landings and awesome visibility.

Congrats. I never get bored with new flights because it keeps the people
that are still building motivated to finish. Can't wait to see the video.

WoooHooo!

I don't think Wes's feet have touched the ground yet.

This is my first video, YouTube, borrowed neighbors camera, etc. so let's see if it works:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcPmLj5Djxc

YouTube really drops the resolution, and I had to edit it down to less than 10 minutes, but you can get an idea. I promise you, even if your first flight is unpainted, minimal interior, etc. it is a thing of beauty!
